Personal:
Kara is self-employed with Seasons Day Spa in
Hamburg, N.Y. where she spends most of her other time when
not training. Making people feel good is another passion.
The spa has been a huge sense of support no matter what the
cause. They look forward to hosting one of the charity
fundraisers.
Athletic
Accomplishments:
She lives south of the city of Buffalo in
Orchard Park to be able to ski in the winter and ride and
run the hills in the summer. She has been an avid skier
since 7th grade, has been swimming competitively
since she was eight and started triathlons two years ago.
After some life changing events in the fall of 2001, she
decided to run her first marathon. Upon completion of The
Houston marathon she trained for the Ironman qualifier at
Muskoka. June 16th she was entered in Ironman USA
2002 and completed her first Ironman on July 28th

Equipment:
Guru Trilite road bike, zip 303’s, Orca Predator wetsuit,
Asics running shoes.
Weekly Training: 4000-6000 swim
yards, 100-200 bike miles, 15-30 run miles, 1-2hrs weight
training, 4-10 glasses Geyser Peak
